Pen Pals?
So, I'm looking for a pen pal. It's one of my goals for my Day Zero Project. Anyone interested? lol I'm being serious, here.
I used to have a pen pal, who I met off xanga. Sadly, she stopped writing and is no longer on xanga.
And it's really nice getting mail, am I right? Other than bills and such.
Well, if anyone is interested, let me know and we can message each other. I think this is a much better idea, than just picking someone off the interent, who I've never talked too in any way shape or form, and giving them my address and such. Meh. I don't know. So, yeah, just let me know.

Look into Postcrossing. It's a site where you send and receive postcards all over the world. I have a pen-pal in Croatia and we correspond via postcards, emails, and the occasional small package
It's not a pen-pal per se, but you can certainly use it to meet new people and from there ask if they'd like to be pen-pals!
This is what my profile looks like, so you have an idea of what Postcrossing is like. Another Xangan, kkrrissyy, is also on Postcrossing - she's the one who introduced me to it.
I think there may be actual pen-pal websites too
I used to have a Penpal from Singapore named Anabel! We wrote for like 6 years. I just googled penpals...then theres sites with other people looking for penpals. Its nice to have someone from another place like Singapore. She was so interesting!! Look for someone in Singapore, or China or something!
I used to have a pen pal in Malawi but we grew apart. That would be fun to do again =)
I'm up for it if you're interested. Unless you think that means we wouldn't have anything to talk about online. *lol*

I reviewed the comments before I left mine, and since I've noticed that it's an all-female response, and they're all saying yes, the Man Club charter dictates that I must decline, though I am allowed to do so "with sincere regrets."

Don't you just LOVE getting real mail? I get so little of it, I like to draw out the fun, looking at my name and address, without looking at the return to hopefully recognize the handwriting before reading who it is from. The greatest tease and letdown is when you get that initial thrill of thinking there is a hand addressed envelope in there, only to realize it is actually junk mail with computer printed "handwriting". I'd love to write. I can't promise novels all the time with 3 kids and FT school and PT work but I can promise to hand-write regularly.
I'm a little late to comment I was at work all day but I would like to join in on the pen pal. I think it would be fun and heck I like all mail except bills

I had this other idea, which I may blog on later. You know the "Sisterhood of the traveling pants"? Yeah, that concept. Except, not pants. it'd be something a few of us xanga friends would send back and forth to each other, like a journal of inspiring things we think of or something that we want to share with each other. Or some other item. I can't think of anything other than the journal Idea. But wouldn't that be a good idea?
I'll have to think on it some more, but tell me what you think of that. I'll message you tomorrow my address and you can give me yours.
@Megabyyte - That is a cool idea. I just worry I wouldn't have much to say. *lol* These funks really make it hard to think of anything but reading or sleeping. I REALLY need to fight it harder & at least try to blog & such. And get more done around the house.
